Course: Arch 102A
The “Hut” project examines an architectural precedent and investigates the role of the grid as both an organizational and generative device for form-making. The analysis of the "Texas House 2" investigates the potential of a network of lines to suggest and define space. The final development exhibits a three-dimensional grid consisting of various layers. Each layer depicts the connecting lines of the axial symmetry of the grid. In elevation and section the model portrays an abstract form, while the plan of the model remain as the grid of the ordered columns.
